NIKKI  

 Nikki  is our lead vocalist and is     also a renowned solo artist. She has a voice that is equally at home with soft ballads, powerful rockers and everything in between. Her major contribution to the sound of the band makes Fiv5way stand out from other bands.  Nikki's singing career started when she was 12 years old with the Newtown Singers from where she moved on to spend several years singing harmonies with Bryn Morgan Evans. Since then she has been providing vocals in both a country folk band and a folk band before spending a couple of years as part of the duo "Indecision" covering a broader range of music. She brings to Fiv5way her very impressive vocal ability , considerable stage presence and the ability to really entertain an audience .

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

MIKE 

Mike plays rhythm guitar and also provides vocals on many of the band's songs. Good rhythm guitarists are hard to find and Mike is a member of that rather exclusive club. Mike has a friendly approach to his audience and a passion for music which shows in his performance. He has worked with many top local bands over the years and is Fiv5way's organiser - we don't have a leader but someone has to make sure everything runs smoothly. Mike's the man for the job.

 

                                          

 DAVE  

 Lead guitarist and vocalist Dave brings a wealth of experience to the band  having played a wide variety of music with lots of bands during the considerable time he has been in the music business. He is fairly new to the South West but has played all over Southern England for many years in bands such as " Jaded" and "Off the Peg" and has appeared at some of the country's most prestigious venues. He also releases his own solo CD's from time to time and is responsible for the recording and production of Fiv5way's CD's , publicity material and the website.

  

 

                       LORRAINE   

Every band needs an anchor and in Fiv5way that role falls naturally to accomplished bass player Lorraine. Her solid deep and resonant bass playing provides the all-important rich foundation to the bands unique sound. And she sings. She also doubles on trumpet for some songs. In fact it would take less time to list the instruments she doesn't play. Originally from Cornwall she moved to Devon a few years ago. When she is not appearing with Fiv5way she puts her musical talents to good use in the Tiverton Town Band.

         

                           

               GARY 

 

 Our drummer and percussionist Gary is  the newest member of the band. He served his musical apprenticeship with some of the top bands in Devon and has  worked extensively in both the rock and cabaret circuits  work so Gary is well versed in playing all styles of music. His versatility and rock solid delivery  holds the band together. When not appearing with Fiv5way he deps with other bands and also keeps his hand in with some recording work from time to time.

 

 AND NOT FORGETTING  !!

 Dave - 0ur sound engineer. Dave mixes our sound and controls the bands' lighting as well . He is also our Mr Fixit and ensures everything works smoothly during our performances. Not only does he carry a huge stock of spare cables and anything else we might need but he has a tool kit containing everything from spanners and soldering irons down to a penknife !
